    We’ve taken the best aspects of the cool,crisp and sturdy percale of decades past andcreated a modern take on a tried-and-true classic.  Specially woven just for us, usingtop qualitythicker yarn andlower thread count in asimple, timeless percale weave - tight and durable, not stretchy or drapey, andwon't fluff up or pill.  

    The result?Heirloom-quality percale,cool and crisp, the kind that snaps when you fold it. A little bit stiff, and yes, a bit wrinkly but oh, so wonderfully smooth and comfortable. 

    Made from 100%good quality long-staple GOTS certified organic cotton, and withOeko-Texcertification  you can be sureyou’re sleeping without harmful chemicals. 

    They will only get softer and smoother with use,so you can enjoy better sleep for years to come. 

    What to expect:

    • Classic crisp, firm, smooth and durable sheets which soften with use.
    • Some wrinkling.
      This is one area where we depart from the past - we don't blend our cotton with synthetics, or use "easy care" treatments which often use harmful, formaldehyde-based chemicals. We chose comfort and a healthy sleep instead, and the wrinkles reduce with use.

    What not to expect:

    • Very thick sheets.
      Percale is generally lightweight. We made ours thicker and heavier, the way percale used to be - so if your ideal sheet is cool, crisp and smooth with a bit of weight, you're in the right place. If thickness is your primary criterion, you'll be better served by low thread count muslin-weave sheets (eg Actil) or a high thread count sateen. Learn about percale.
    • Silky softness.
      Percale softens with use but retains a structured feel, like a button up shirt.

    FABRIC

    Our Heavyweight percale is perfect if you like your sheets cool and crisp with a little bit of weight.

    • 100% long-staple combed cotton
    • Single pick, single ply construction
    • 240 threads per 10cm2
    • 155 g/m2 (most percales are in the low 100's)
    • GOTS organic and Oeko-Tex certified
    • Softens with use without pilling
    • Fitted sheets feature a wide, strong elastic all the way around
    • Generously sized flat sheets

    CARE

    • Wash separately in cool to warm water using a small quantity of good quality detergent.
    • Avoid the use of fabric softener and chlorine bleach.
    • Line dry in shade or tumble dry on low.
    • Iron if desired - percale does wrinkle but we feel this is a small price to pay for comfort and it will reduce somewhat with use. We do not blend our cotton with synthetics or use harmful chemicals like formaldehyde to reduce wrinkling. See our full Care Guide.

    SHRINKAGE

    All cotton shrinks after washing, especially in hot water. Shrinkage of up to 2% is expected - but don't worry! We oversize our sheets to account for this to ensure a good fit.

    Best Sheet Ever

    I'm so happy with my purchase. The sheets are superb quality and generous in size. I was immediately transported back to my childhood, when I slept under crisp, fresh, and comforting sheets. These are exactly the type of sheets I have been searching for.

    Fitted Sheet too loose

    I purchased your King Size heavyweight Percale Fitted sheet Order #GS12789 the 40cm size and it doesn’t fit the mattress snugly, wrinkles and isn’t taut (our mattress measures 30cm in depth) and also the elastic isn’t tight enough - unlike the black elastic you used to use - so the sides of the fitted sheet tend to slip out.
    This doesn’t seem to be an issue with your Queen fitted sheets (40cm) on smaller depth mattresses so not sure why this happens with the King.

    It sounds like the fit and elastic on the King size sheet may not be working as well as expected on a 30cm mattress. As the sheet is still brand new, it may feel a little loose initially—our cotton sheets are cut generously to allow for natural shrinkage in the first few washes, which should help improve the fit, just as you have found with your previous purchases from us.

    Greatest Sheets on Earth

    The Good Sheet should change their name to the Great Sheet! I purchased a set earlier this year and love them so much I just got a second set. They are everything they are advertised to be! On top of that the price is more than fair. As a sheet snob I will not look elsewhere for a fine percale sheet set.
